What Will It Cost?

Before starting your Russian adventure, you need a general idea of the basic costs related to marrying a Russian woman. Thus, you can appropriately prepare the needed finances. I have unfortunately know men who fervently corresponded with Russian women, but when the necessity of traveling to Russia arose they did not have the needed money. Unfortunately, the dreams of both the men and women were crushed. Or from a different perspective, if you simply don't have the needed money, then don't start the process and save yourself initial correspondence costs.

To give you some insight on probable cost, I have itemized the direct costs in US dollars I incurred during my 1992 and 2000 Russian marriage pursuits. For both time periods, the total cost was around $10,000. A person could conceivably spend less than $10,000, but be advised I watched my money very closely and did not spend foolishly
